Well that just sucks. I mean he had the much better hand preflop. I suppose you could argue that my A9o call was very loose. Yes, it was. However, I am very cautious when I play these hands. I suppose I should have bet that flop, but turns out that I would have lost even more money if I had. He had to figure his AK was good. He was obviously trying to check raise me on the flop. BTW, this entire hand I am putting him on AK. Hoping that he makes a move and I can win a big pot. I honestly thought I was good on the turn, and I was. When that river K came out, I was very much upset. He bet the pot on the river. I suppose I could have folded, although in my eyes that would be a very tight fold. Lesson learned, always go with your gut instinct. If you put someone on AK, don't call that river bet when you know your two pair is beat by a better two pair.

Wow. Just Wow.

So I found a new game to play: $50 buyin blinds at $.50 $1.00 at Party Poker. Before tonight I played four sessions, profitting $160 from my playing.

So I start out tonight doing ok. I'm at $58 when I get 99 late position. Three callers before me, I raise to $4. Two callers. Pots at about $15 now. Flop is Kh9h2d. People in front of me check, I bet $10 into the $15 pot. One caller. I'm thinking, dumb ass calling on flush draw. Turn is a 5d, board reads Kh9h2d5d. He checks, I go all in for another $30 into the $35 pot. He calls with Kd8d (flush draw top pair with 8 kicker). Guess what? He hits his flush, I'm out $50.

I sit out a few hands and think what I did wrong. Couldn't see anything so I suck it up and buy back for $50. Several hands are played, I haven't played a hand except AQ of which I got no piece of so I'm down to about $40. I'm small blind and am dealt 10d8d. Under the Gun (UTG) calls, midposition raises to $4. I call anticipating UTG to call as well. Flop comes QcJc9d. Pots about $15 at this point. I bet the pot, at which UTG reraises me all my chips. Midposition folds. I think for a second if he has K10, decide he doesn't and I call. He turns over trip 9's. SWEET! Turn is a blank, River pairs the board and the chips go to him with his boat.

What a shitty night. Down $100 on two bad beats. Poker is poopy. Post your comments. Thanks for reading my rant.
