My bankroll hit the $1000 mark this past weekend. I decided that was enough to move into the PartyPoker.com $50 buyins. Granted, it is enough to play at those levels, however, I'm not sure if my skills are there quite yet.
I've been getting pounded at these levels. I dropped from $1076 to $808 in the last seventy-two hours. My first session at the $50 tables I did profit $76, but since then I have lost nearly $275. About $175 of that have been bad beats, KKv82, QQvKK, JJv89, etc. The other $100 has been me playing horrible poker. I just do not think I was ready to play at this level. I don't think it was the skills problem, it was the money problem. What do I mean by that?
I've always had trouble putting money on the line. I'm very thrifty with my money and I never like to waste it. Ever since I got into online poker, things have changed. Online, I'm a totally different person. I think I've realized this after playing at the $50 buyins. It's just harder for me to play my game, because in the back of my head I have the feeling that I am putting **SO** much money on the line (granted that SO is relative, to me $50 buyin is a lot of money.)
I'm debating whether or not I should cash out and take a break. My bankroll currently stands at about $800, up from $200 where I started at at the beginning of the semester. Not a bad summer, considering I cashed out earlier in the summer. Overall for the summer, I'm profit about $1000 from my poker winnings. Not a bad summer job at all.
Hopefully I can get out of this slump and play some good poker. I don't think I can take another $250 hit like I have in the last three days. If it happens, you might not see me on PartyPoker.com for awhile.
Take care.
Wow. I was just involved in a perfect situation. Well, it wasn't the MOST perfect, ie: top boat, quads, straight flush, then royal flush (is that even possible? I dunno I don't want to think), but this one was pretty good, too.

WEEEEEEE. Good stuff.
Ok, so some history about this hand. The call on the flop was a mis click. After I picked up an openended I figured it would be hard for him to put me on a 3 if I hit, which is the reason for the raise on the turn. Interesting river betting... what's even more interesting is that my bluff took down the pot, without betting. Muahah.

I just finished my summer classes (Speech and English) this afternoon. I am officially done with school until August 31. What a great feeling.
Guess what this means??? More time for poker, also, more time for the blog :)
I am in the middle of the BONUSJUL reload bonus on PartyPoker.com. It is 6:20am and I have 31 more hands. Currently on a 3 hour session. I'll probably complete the bonus in the next 15 minutes. I played 800 hands on 4 tables. That's roughly 200 hands per each table, divided by 3.5 to find the number of hands played per table per hour (3 1/2 hours), which is roughly 60. On top of that, only about 50% of the hands are raked (which count towards the bonus). So I get about 30 raked hands per hour per table, which when four tabling, is about 120 raked hands an hour. Good advice if you are looking to sign up on PartyPoker.com and need to get your 125 raked hands for a FREE $25.
Time for bed. Take care.
