6 hours... $4 richer

My bonus whoring did not go quite as expected. I was playing pretty well 4 tabling. I was playing the $25 cash games, up about $30 or so, when disaster struck. I had AKh on a 479 two heart board. We ended up getting all our money in, after a few preflop and flop raises. He or she ended up have T8 and hit his draw with the J of clubs. Needless to say, I missed my A, K, heart, or anything except an 8, T, 7, or J. Same round, I was in the big blind with J7. Few callers, I check. Flop comes J74 rainbow. I bet the pot, guy min raises me, I push him pretty hard (he wasn't short stacked, but was not a very large stack either, about $18 or so behind him) he pushes all in for like $5 more. I figured he had a strong J, possibly AJ, maybe KJ. He had 44, and I failed to improve.

Why is poker such a rollercoaster? It's crazy! I wish I could always win, that would make playing so much more fun! Alas, that never happens. Oh well.

After all was said and done, I spent 6 hours clearing the bonus, and came out on top a total of $4. $4 profit for 6 hours of play, not quite the hourly rate I want to maintain. There's always next time...

I can't believe it's been nearly a month since my last entry. I've been extremely busy with my fraternity and haven't really played any poker as of late.

Party poker has a reload bonus that ends Tuesday September 6th at 11:59 PST. I think I am going to deposit the $500 and get the full $100 bonus. I'll have to play 700 hands, but that should only take about 6 hours four tabling.

I'll post my results while I'm doing that bonus.
