Last Night's Session on PartyPoker.com

Bad. Just plain bad. I was taking constant runner runner beats. I hate those nights. I played about 1200 hands and naturally in that many hands I am going to take a few beats, but the number of beats I took last night was incredible. I honestly feel that I was lucky to only be down $600 at the $1/$2 tables.

I was six tabling and none of my hands were holding up. Couple of perfect examples.

Lost Ks Kd to Kc Qh. All in preflop for $100 each. I was 92% to win the hand, lost to club flush. AK to QQ (I had AK), I raise three callers preflop. Checks to me I bet pot, he raises all in (which was about a minraise), and I call. He shows QQ, and hits a Queen on the river. I only lost like $75 in that hand, but still, poker sucks. Next hand I have QQ against his KK. He raises preflop, I reraise, he flat calls. Flop comes 55Q. He checks, I bet 1/2 pot. He min raises, I push, he instant calls with KK. Hits a king on the River. Lost $200. Granted, he had the best hand preflop, but I only had $24 invested preflop with the worst hand. The other $180 was put in on the flop when I was a 92% favorite. These were only three hands out of about six that were just like this. Needless to say, last night was no bueno.

Poker is a game of skill, but there is that little bit of luck factor that you must have during sessions like this one. You can get all your money in with a 92% chance to win, but 8% of the time you are still going to lose. This, my friends, is why poker sucks.
